Weeks 7 to 12

Solve topic-wise sets with a timer. Track accuracy per topic and fix the weakest three.

Weeks 13 to 18

Mock phase

Two full practice tests a week. Spend at least as long reviewing each test as you spent attempting it.

Last 2 weeks

Final revision

Revise formulas, vocabulary and your Mistake Notebook. Take one test every two days to keep speed.

Subject-wise tips

Quantitative Aptitude

  • Memorise squares up to 30, cubes up to 15 and fraction-percentage equivalents (1/7 = 14.28%) so calculations take seconds.
  • Solve each topic in sets of 20 questions, then re-solve the ones you took more than a minute on.
  • Practise data interpretation from tables, bar charts and pie charts every second day.

Reasoning

  • Learn one clean method per question type (for example, a seating-arrangement grid) and stick to it.
  • Practise puzzles untimed first, then add a 90-second limit per puzzle.
  • Skip lengthy puzzles in the first pass during a mock; return to them with the time left.

English

  • Read one editorial or passage daily and note five new words with meanings and a sentence of your own.
  • Revise grammar rules (subject-verb agreement, tenses, prepositions) before attempting error-spotting sets.
  • In comprehension, read the questions first and then scan the passage for the answers.

General Awareness

  • Divide static GK into history, geography, polity, economy and science and revise one block per day.
  • Use short notes and the daily quiz for quick recall rather than rereading long chapters.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Attempting every question; with negative marking, guessing blindly lowers your score.
  • Studying new topics in the last month instead of revising.
  • Taking mocks but not analysing them.
  • Ignoring General Awareness, which is the fastest section to score in.

SSC CGL ek aisi pariksha hai jo har saal lakhon yuvaon ko desh ki administrative sevaon mein shaamil hone ka mauka deti hai. Lekin badalte hue pattern aur badhte competition ke wajah se, ab sirf mehnat nahi balki "Smart Strategy" ki zaroorat hai. Tier 1 aur Tier 2 dono ki taiyari saath lekar chalna hi selection ki chabi hai.

  • Exam Pattern aur Syllabus ki Samajh: Taiyari shuru karne se pehle Tier 1 aur Tier 2 ke badle hue pattern ko samjhein. Ab Computer Knowledge aur Data Entry Speed bhi utni hi zaroori hai jitna ki Maths aur English.
  • Mathematics (Quantitative Aptitude): SSC ab calculation-heavy questions puch raha hai. Concepts ke saath-saath tables, squares, aur cubes yaad karein taaki aapki calculation speed tez ho sake.
  • English Language aur Comprehension: Reading comprehension aur Grammar par pakad banayein. Rozana ek English newspaper padhne se Vocabulary aur Reading speed dono mein sudhaar hoga.
  • General Awareness (GS): Static GK ke saath-saath Current Affairs par focus karein. Science, History, aur Polity jaise subjects ke liye NCERT ya standard books ka base banayein.
  • Reasoning: Is section mein full marks laana mumkin hai. Rozana alag-alag types ke puzzles aur series waale sawalon ki practice karein taaki logic turant strike kare.
  • Previous Year Questions (PYQs): SSC aksar apne purane patterns ko repeat karta hai. Pichle 5 saalon ke TCS pattern waale questions ko kam se kam 2-3 baar solve karein.
  • Mock Test aur Time Management: Online mock tests hi aapko exam hall ka mahaul dete hain. Test dene ke baad uska detail analysis karein ki kaunsa section aapka waqt zyada le raha hai.

SSC CGL ka safar lamba ho sakta hai, lekin discipline aur sahi guidance ke saath ye rasta aasaan ho jata hai. Apni kamzoriyon par kaam karein aur har din pichle din se behtar banne ki koshish karein. Excise Inspector ya Income Tax Officer ka tag aapki mehnat ka sabse bada inaam hoga.
