Subject-wise tips

Quantitative Aptitude

  • Memorise squares up to 30, cubes up to 15 and fraction-percentage equivalents (1/7 = 14.28%) so calculations take seconds.
  • Solve each topic in sets of 20 questions, then re-solve the ones you took more than a minute on.
  • Practise data interpretation from tables, bar charts and pie charts every second day.

Reasoning

  • Learn one clean method per question type (for example, a seating-arrangement grid) and stick to it.
  • Practise puzzles untimed first, then add a 90-second limit per puzzle.
  • Skip lengthy puzzles in the first pass during a mock; return to them with the time left.

English

  • Read one editorial or passage daily and note five new words with meanings and a sentence of your own.
  • Revise grammar rules (subject-verb agreement, tenses, prepositions) before attempting error-spotting sets.
  • In comprehension, read the questions first and then scan the passage for the answers.

General Awareness

  • Prioritise polity, geography and basic science because they repeat often.
  • Revise important days, awards and schemes through the daily quiz.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Spending too long on one hard question; the exam rewards speed.
  • Not practising typing and data-entry skills if your target post needs them.
  • Skipping English because it looks easy; it is often where marks are lost.

SSC CHSL preparation strategy

SSC CHSL 2026 Preparation Strategy

SSC CHSL 12th pass students ke liye desh ki sabse lokpriya parikshaon mein se ek hai. Iske zariye aap Ministry of External Affairs aur CBI jaise departments mein kaam kar sakte hain. Lekin dhyan rahe, CHSL mein speed aur accuracy ka khel sabse bada hota hai kyunki sawalon ka level CGL jaisa hota hai par waqt kam mehsoos hota hai.

  • New Pattern ki Deep Knowledge: CHSL ab Tier 1 aur Tier 2 dono mein Computer aur Typing Test ko shamil karta hai. Isliye sirf kitabi padhai nahi, balki practical skills par bhi focus karein.
  • Quantitative Aptitude (Maths): CHSL mein Advance Maths (Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra) ka weightage achha rehta hai. Basic concepts clear karne ke baad shortcuts aur fast calculation tricks par kaam karein.
  • English Language: Grammar ke rules ke saath-saath Cloze Test aur Error Spotting ki khoob practice karein. Daily 20-30 naye words (Synonyms/Antonyms) yaad karne ki aadat dalein.
  • General Intelligence (Reasoning): Ye section sabse scoring hota hai. Coding-Decoding, Syllogism aur Non-verbal reasoning (images) par focus karein taaki aap 10-12 minute mein poora section solve kar sakein.
  • General Awareness: Pichle 6-8 mahino ke Current Affairs aur Static GK (Dance, Festivals, Rivers, Constitution) ko priority dein. SSC ke liye ye sections rank-deciding hote hain.
  • Typing Test ki Taiyari Aaj Se: Tier 2 mein typing test qualify karna compulsory hai. Padhai ke beech mein rozana 15-20 minute typing practice zaroor karein taaki last moment par tension na ho.
  • Mock Test aur Speed Building: CHSL ek "Speed Test" hai. Hafte mein kam se kam 3 mock tests dein aur dekhein ki kya aap 60 minute mein 100 sawal attempt kar paa rahe hain.

SSC CHSL 2026 un logon ke liye hai jo kam umar mein ek secure aur prestigious career chahte hain. Agar aap consistency aur sahi material ke saath padhte hain, toh selection nishchit hai. Apne lakshya par focus rakhein aur har din mehnat karte rahein.

Frequently asked questions

Who can apply for SSC CHSL?
Candidates who have passed Class 12 (or are in their final year, as permitted in the notification) and meet the age limit can apply. Check the official notification for post-wise criteria.
Is SSC CHSL easier than SSC CGL?
The syllabus is a level lower, but competition is intense and cut-offs depend on speed and accuracy, so timed practice matters more than reading theory.
